Joe Jonas Debuts a 70s-Inspired Pornstache during a 2017 VMAs — and We’re Not Sure How to Feel

August 28, 2017 - Jonas Brothers

Well, hello there! Joe Jonas strike a red runner during a 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 27, in LA — where he debuted some controversial facial hair. The 28-year-old DNCE frontman sported a thick mustache that creates him demeanour some-more like a porn star from a 70s rather than a cocktail star.

Aside from his hapless stache (that, BTW, is giving us vital Ron Jeremy vibes), Joe’s retro VMAs demeanour was also comprised of a white blazer with sparkly lavender accents. We all know a Jonas Brothers alum is prohibited AF, so we’ll let this brash conform impulse slide. Though we’re giving a “Cake by a Ocean” thespian a pass, many of his fans positively aren’t.

“I adore joe jonas so most though since does he have a porn stache omg,” one ravaged fan wrote, while another asked a doubt that’s on everybody’s mind during a moment: “Are Calvin Harris and Joe Jonas partial of some nauseous mustache cult?”

Another censor of Joe’s demeanour didn’t reason behind one bit while describing Joe’s new (creepy?) aesthetic. “I theory pedophile is a new demeanour for Joe Jonas,” a Twitter user quipped, while another concluded with us that a former child bander does indeed resemble Mr. Jeremy. “Why does Joe Jonas demeanour like Ron Jeremy now? we meant WTF.”

WTF is right. But a best thing about appalling mustaches is that they can be fast shaved off in a matter of seconds. Right, Joe? But TBH, no matter what we (or his fans) consider about Joe’s stache, we’re usually happy a man has a leisure to finally grow one out. In a first-person letter created for Vulture in 2013, a New Jersey local suggested how a Disney Channel monitored his facial hair while he was filming Jonas, his sitcom with brothers Kevin and Nick Jonas, from 2009 to 2010.

“I had to trim each day since they wanted me to fake like we was 16 when we was 20 (when a uncover was done, we cut my hair off and grew as most of a brave as we could),” he explained during a time. “We went along with it during a time, since we suspicion Disney was a usually genuine shot, and we were shocked that it could all be taken divided from us during any moment.”
